Small in stature, but big on trouble, these tiny terrors can come in many shapes but only one size: Tiny. Very few of these creatures tend to be destructive. For the most part they are the vermin of the monster world. Most are mischievous pranksters, though a few can be a serious threat to the unsuspecting human. Little creatures can be divided into these categories.
Fairy Folk: Fairies, Pixies, Gnomes and Brownies are but a few of the creatures that fall into this category. Like humans, fairy folk can be good or bad. Most fairies are repelled by iron, a metal they are allergic to.
House Spirits: When humans talk about things that go bump in the night, they are usually referring to these. Goblins, Imps and Boggarts are some of the most common house spirits. They are rarely dangerous. However, having one as a house guest can be wildly inconvenient. Their very presence may cause milk to sour and their favorite pastime is terrorizing small children, especially when their parents aren't likely to believe the child encountered a monster.
Gremlins: These little buggers are in a classification all their own. Gremlins are the most mischievous of all monsters. They don't harm men directly, but they are fascinated with any man made machine, If it has moving parts, then odds are that a gremlin would love to tear it up.
Again, not all of these little creatures pose a threat to man. Although there are many methods for dispelling or ridding oneself malevolent little monsters, we highly recommend a good, strong hammer.
